In my previous exhibition, Etherium, the flexible length (the rope) commenced tying itself in knots.
When three coordinates (x,y,z) combine to form the third dimension, I believe that Time (t) is the implicit fourth coordinate. I have come to think of the linear dimension in a knot as analogous to the passage of time.
The knot, unclinched, follows an open path in space, freed from points of contact along its past or future trajectory, but its majestic sweep always dependant on where it has been - or will be.
